it ALWAYS gives me a thrill to set foot on the property at Shakespeare & Company and the woods where I grew up shouting Henry V speeches from the trees and getting stabbed with imaginary and not-so-imaginary broadswords.
i'm here now for five weeks Assistant Directing THE TEMPEST, which boasts S&Co's longtime company member and new Artistic Director Allyn Burrows at the helm. I have a strict "HECK YES" policy for any time Allyn invites me to work on something, and I'm particularly thrilled to be here breaking in a brand-new outdoor space on the beautiful Kemble Street grounds.
So far my job has involved a lot of saying NOPE when actors request to enter by zip-lining in from some rooftop or other.
